It's starting to feel a bit like spring here in Calgary - which means enjoying less frigid temperatures but still getting the occasional snowstorm. 😅 Crazy March weather aside, the beginning of spring also marks the annual The Big Taste foodie festival. If there's a restaurant in town you've been dying to try but haven't been able to, now is the time to book a table!
Running from March 2 - 11, Big Taste offers a long list of great Calgary restaurants showcasing fixed price meals of three to five courses. It's a wonderful (and affordable) way to support local businesses and an opportunity to eat together with friends and family without having to cook yourself. Last year I tried the menu offerings from The Guild, River Cafe, Carino, and Kabuku, and I'm looking forward to checking out new restaurants this year.
Which restaurants will you be visiting this year? Wherever you go, don't forget to show some love to the hard-working kitchen and serving staff who make this event possible!
