Sustainable Style YYC 2016

Contributed by Emma Callin

It's that time of year again: spring has arrived and Sustainable Style YYC is right around the corner (next Tuesday, to be exact)!  What is it, you ask?  It's an opportunity to meet and mingle with people who specialize in bringing ethical, sustainable fashion and beauty to the Canadian consumer.  It's also a great opportunity to get information on Fashion Revolution Day on April 24th.

So who can you expect to meet there?

We'll have a fun little quiz for attendees about fabrics, clothing construction and care.. do you know what all those little symbols on clothing care labels mean (without the aid of Google)?!  It's like decoding ancient hieroglyphics sometimes...

Alberta Apparel

We're pretty stoked about the launch of the "localest tee" by Alberta Apparel, with a graphic design based on a chunk of thawing ground to reference its local origins.  Ethically made and sustainable, 70% of their profits go back into the local economy too.  I think I might be coming home with a new t-shirt on Tuesday... ^_~*

We hope to see you there!
